BUS & BOAT EXCURSIONS

CAR-FREE SCHOODIC ADVENTURE
Board the Bar Harbor Winter Harbor Ferry at the Bar Harbor Inn pier. The Island Explorer provides connecting transportation to Acadia National Park's Schoodic peninsula. The Schoodic bus includes stops in Winter Harbor and Birch Harbor. Check with the ferry operator to confirm fares and schedules.

CIRCLE TRIP TO CRANBERRY ISLES
Note: This excursion is not available in 2021 because Bus 6 and Bus 7 will not operate due to the Covid virus. Here is the way it should work in 2022: Ride Bus 7 to Manset and take the Cranberry Cove Ferry to Cranberry Isles. Visit the Cranberry House on Great Cranberry Island and the Acadia National Park museum on Islesford. Catch the Beal & Bunker mail boat to Northeast Harbor and ride Bus 6 back to the Bar Harbor Village Green.

BICYCLE TOUR OF SWANS ISLAND
Note: This excursion is not available in 2021 because Bus 7 will not operate due to the Covid virus. Here is the way it should work in 2022: Ride Bus 7 in the morning from Bar Harbor to Bass Harbor. Take your bicycle on the Swans Island Ferry for a one-day tour of Swans Island. Visit the Swans Island Lobster and Marine Museum near the ferry terminal. Board the 4:30 p.m. ferry to Bass Harbor and catch the 5:53 p.m. bus back to Bar Harbor. It is a short walk from the Bass Harbor bus stop to the Swans Island ferry terminal.
